Established in 2001 in Vietnam, Empire-Group Co., Ltd. is one of the largest logistics companies in the Southeast Asia region. As a total international logistics provider, Empire-Group Co., Ltd offers a broad range of transport solutions in general-forwarding and niche services personalized to fit clients’ requirements. Furthermore, as a leading multimodal transport company, Empire-Group Co., Ltd provides services of NVOCC, Liner, Consolidator and Air and Sea Freight Forwarding in Vietnam.


The Brief

Empire Group had been managing the majority of their regional operations across two main sites in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city when they set up a third office in Da Nang. They came to us with the objective of recruiting new members for the new office. The client was looking to engage with us to make up to eighteen hires, local and foreign experts, across finance and operations, the level of monthly salaries ranged from $2,000 up to $6,000.


Our Method

To meet the deadlines set by the client it was important we took a targeted and focused approach to ensure we attracted the correct talent for the roles, while at the same time accessing all possible candidate options available at that time. 

  1. We quickly formed a long list of potential candidates thanks to our embedded network of professionals. After that we conducted thorough group and individual interviews to assess  their relevance and ability for these particular opportunities.

  2. We ran internal assessment centers to ensure we could assess the suitability of multiple candidates at one time. This practice helped allowing us to to work through a large number of candidates within a short period of time.

  3. Through creating a market map of businesses from a similar sector or businesses that had previously gone through a similar transition, we successfully singled out specific recommendations, reaching out to  individuals with a proven track record of delivery.

  4. We used social media for a targeted advertising campaign to generate and interview new candidates specifically for this role.  


The Result

The client expressed huge satisfaction with our strategy and approached.  Of the roles filled externally GlobalK filled over 50% of the roles available and received excellent feedback about the new hires from the client months later.
